Problem

During the chaos of the year 2020, we could observe how poorly prepared we are to face a pandemic like that of COVID-19.

The COVID-19 pandemic showed us how poorly our government and we are for a disaster like this. In a matter of days, we ran out of supplies from supermarkets because of panic buying. We did not know how much food, supplies, or medicine to buy. In addition, nearly 60% of American adults have not practiced what to do in a disaster by participating in a disaster drill or preparedness exercise at work, school, or home in the past year.

This project is dedicated to helping people prepare for a disaster like pandemics.

Guide Me Mobile Application

This application fills the gap between how to stay connected with your local community and government. By merging technology and trends into service agencies, they can highlight the impact of the pandemic. We have designed this application for people who can stay mentally and physically stronger during the time of emergency.

Our key audience is people who want currently verified information. People who do not go out of their houses to get the required supplies and products.

Primary Research

I don't trust social media as everything is hyped. We have no actual source behind the information. Everyone can share anything, and it can create panic for other people.

I will be delighted if anyone comes up with a better platform where I can read all local and national news in one single channel.

My friends update me on the supplies in nearby stores. They share important information with me.

I worry about my colleagues. Some of them stay alone in their homes, and no one is around them. We need someone who can address the issues around isolation.

There are so many rumors about the treatment of the virus, people are saying lots of things that do not make sense. I want social awareness about the virus.

I check google for basic information, and I believe this is enough for basic things. But, we need more information on what is going on around us quickly.
